A Bit About Me

I'm Janice Hendrick, a dedicated multimedia designer who thrives on crafting interactive and communicative designs. My passion for this art form continually drives me to learn and improve, and I'm always keen to embrace new experiences and opportunities that can further refine my skills.

My fascination with graphic design began during my junior year in high school while enrolled in a multimedia publication class. This was where I first dipped my toes into Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, culminating in the acquisition of Adobe Certification Association Certificates for both software. We, as a class, put our learning into practice by creating an over 200-page literary magazine that we submitted at a national level.

Today, I'm proficient in a broad range of Adobe Suite products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, and continue refining my skills in XD, AfterEffects, and Premiere Pro while expanding my set into photo/video capabilities. I look forward to bringing my skills and enthusiasm to create remarkable designs for you.

Work Experience

September 2023 - current

Provide graphics and web support, responding to customer requests and producing high-quality designs adhering to branding guidelines. Manage graphics across various platforms including social media, mobile apps, and PowerPoint slides. Ensure compliance with website regulations, maintain site components, and consult with clients on improvements in design, print, and branding.

August 2022 - December 2022

June 2016 - July 2016

In my previous role, I was responsible for maintaining the College of Arts and Humanities WordPress blog and newsletter. Additionally, I designed promotional material for various departmental events within the college. I also had the opportunity to collaborate on the redesign of the Arts and Humanities Festival of Arts, known as "Kaleidoscope." As part of this project, I created branded material and illustrations to enhance the event's overall branding. Furthermore, I was involved in designing and creating branded material for an annual event hosted by the City of Jacksonville.

In my role, I gained a thorough understanding of office operations, including timecards, payroll, and QuickBooks. I efficiently managed timecards and implemented a filing system for easy retrieval of office documents. By creating a digital archive of contracts, receipts, and timecard history, I reduced paper usage, cleared space, and preserved valuable assets. Additionally, I collaborated with the company to revamp the corporate website using Wix, engaging with department heads to explore web development platforms. Ultimately, I designed a new website that enabled seamless communication between public visitors and a password-protected employee section.
